Rhythm as Meaning

Rhythm is not decoration. Rhythm is content. The way your words fall on a beat changes what they mean. The same sentence, with emphasis on different syllables, says different things. "I never SAID I loved you" and "I never said I LOVED you" — same words, completely different meaning. The rhythm decides.
